Job Description


We're in search of aSenior Software Engineerwith a proven track record of building SaaS applications from scratch. As an engineer, you will be at the forefront, steering our technical architecture and making pivotal technical decisions from the outset. Our ambitious project encompasses computer vision, real-time CAD, and additional applications built on this foundation.


We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Aether is a fast-paced, rapidly growing start-up with a small team. Your role is to create a significant impact from day one. We expect your to have multiple PRs by the end of week 1.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4+ years of backend engineering experience, with hands-on involvement in developing production-level code.
  • Proficiency in architecting, building, and maintaining REST APIs for production applications.
  • Expertise in relational databases and models.
  • Strong proficiency in Python & Django
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools and continuous integration.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
  • People with Mathematics, Electrical Engineering with a focus on computing backgrounds will excel at this role.


Preferred:

We know you won’t know everything but having a good general breadth of the requirements below will set you apart

  • Solid grasp on cloud services, specifically Google Cloud Platform
  • Comfortable working with Redis and Websockets
  • Experience in developing real-time chat, CRM/Project management applications, building micro-services, and flexible architectures.
  • Strong data engineering skills
  • Experience building and debugging complex systems
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams and driving project completion.
  • Prior team-building experience, including recruiting technical team members.
  • Strong mathematical background and familiarity with energy-related data or a willingness to learn (e.g., kWh, kW, solar energy concepts). We will check this during the interview.
