Principal Engineer, Ring Emerging Product Team TheRing AI team is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to leadthe development of Computer Vision (CV) / Machine Learning (ML)Edge SW and Research Infrastructure. In this role, you will be theleader of our passionate, talented, and inventive scientists, todevelop industry-leading CV and ML systems. You will providethought leadership to engineers to help design our CV/ML systems.We are particularly interested in candidates with experienceproductizing computer vision systems. As a Principal SoftwareEngineer, you bring structure to ambiguous business problems anduse science, logic, and practical experience to decompose them intostraightforward, scalable solutions. You set the standard forscientific excellence and make decisions that affect the way webuild and integrate algorithms. Your solutions are exemplary interms of system design, clarity, efficiency, and extensibility. Youtackle intrinsically hard problems; youre interested in learning;and you acquire skills and expertise as needed. The ideal candidateis a strong, creative and highly-motivated Engineer with hands-onexperience in leading multiple research and engineeringinitiatives. You balance technical leadership with strong businessjudgment to make the right decisions about technology, tools, andmethodologies. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 1. BS degree in ComputerScience, or related areas. 2. 10+ years of working experience inindustry 3. 5+ years of mentoring engineers 4. 5+ years of workingexperience in developing CV/ML product systems 5. 5+ years ofsoftware development experience using one programming language suchas C++, Python, or Java PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Masters/PhDdegree in Computer Vision/Machine Learning 2. Experienced inshipping edge and large backend systems 3.
