As we scale our business across the UK, we are looking for a proven Senior Technical Recruiter to join our global Talent Acquisition team.

 

About the role

As a high-growth global technology company you will make an impact in the growth and success of our business within the UK region.  You will act as a brand ambassador and use your skills in Talent Acquisition to identify, attract and secure the top talent in the market.

You will be responsible for proactively sourcing top talent for a range of roles across software development, data engineering, delivery and product management.

You should be adaptable and can hunt top talent across other areas / regions of the group if the need arises.

Requirements

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

  • Collaborate with Leadership:Work closely with the local Leadership team to manage all recruitment efforts, ensuring alignment with business goals and talent needs.
  • Candidate Quality Focus:Prioritize quality over quantity when presenting candidates to hiring managers, ensuring only the most qualified individuals are considered.
  • Talent Pipeline Management:Build and maintain a strong, active pipeline of high-quality talent, including passive candidates, to ensure a consistent flow of potential hires.
  • End-to-End Interview Process:Oversee the entire interview process, from initial screening through to the offer stage, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Market Intelligence:Keep the business informed of high-performing talent available in the market, sharing insights to help shape future hiring strategies.
  • Time to Hire & Close Rate:Maintain a low time-to-hire target while achieving a high close rate, ensuring the recruitment process is efficient and effective.
  • Candidate Experience:Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment journey, from initial outreach to onboarding.
  • Strategic Advising:Act as a strategic advisor to local hiring managers, providing valuable insights into local market trends, talent availability, and competitive salary benchmarks.
  • Data Management & Reporting:Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, offer acceptance rates, and candidate feedback, providing regular updates to leadership to inform decision-making.

 

People & Culture Coordination

  • Onboarding Excellence:Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires, collaborating with internal teams to provide a smooth transition into the company, including the preparation of welcome materials, scheduling, and orientation.
  • New Hire Support:Act as a point of contact for new hires during their onboarding period, addressing questions and ensuring they feel supported and integrated into the team.
  • Culture Initiatives:Support People & Culture initiatives, contributing to a positive and engaging work environment that reflects company values and promotes employee growth.

About you

  • 6+ years' experience in a hands-on full cycle recruiting role in technology data / software engineering space
  • Passionate about people and culture, with a strong interest in supporting the entire employee lifecycle
  • Consultative and empathetic approach (high EQ) in establishing and developing key stakeholder relationships (local & global)
  • You would have gained experience across either agency and/or internal recruitment
  • Solid understanding of the local market and a strong personal network
  • A strong background in hands-on head hunting and attracting passive candidates through creative sourcing techniques
  • Highly skilled in LinkedIn and/or LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Proactive style of recruitment (not relying on applications)
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive and action-oriented approach.
  • (bonus) Experience working in the high-growth or the technology start-up world

What We Offer in the UK: 

  

  • Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package. 
  • Pension: Up to 5% employer contribution, matching up to a 5% employee contribution, for a total of up to 10%. 
  • Annual Leave: 4 weeks standard + 1 week additional annual leave over Christmas shut down period, plus public holidays. 
  • Your Day - No Questions Asked: One additional day off per year, no explanation required! 
  • Regular Lunches: Provided at team meet-ups and on workdays at Simple Machines' co-working space. 
  • Health and Wellbeing Allowance: £1,250 allowance per year to be used for any food and non-alcoholic beverages during business hours, healthcare, gym memberships, sporting goods and accessories, and any wellness appointments. 
  • Professional Development: £1,500 annual budget for training, courses, and conferences, with potential for additional funding. 
  • Certifications: £2,500 annual budget for certifications and related courses. 
  • Equipment Allowance: £1,500 for UK team members, plus Apple MacBook Pro laptops and necessary accessories. 
  • Company Sick Leave: 10 days per annum, includes coverage for employee’s family. 
  • Antenatal Support: Paid time off for antenatal appointments, including classes recommended by health professionals. 
  • Terminal Illness Benefit: Three months' continuance of salary at full pay.
