Role Purpose

Wood Mackenzie is looking for an enthusiastic, talented, and ambitious Senior Associate to join our Supply Chain Sales team.

Wood Mackenzie Supply Chain delivers data and insights that make energy and natural resource companies more effective and resilient contributors to the global economy. We do that by providing our customers the right data in the right solution to help them reduce costs, manage risks, and accelerate the transition to renewable energy. As a Senior Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting our customer engagement efforts, go-to market strategy, and aggressive future company growth goals. In addition to generating revenue, unlike traditional roles at many other data and software companies, you will have the opportunity to work on projects across the customer relationship lifecycle – from strategy creation to lead generation to deal closing – gaining an unparalleled level of autonomy, responsibility, and client exposure.

Main Responsibilities

While Senior Associates are responsible for a variety of tasks in the service of generating revenue and accelerating growth for Wood Mackenzie, some common activities include:

  • Performing proprietary market analyses to provide unique data insights to the market

  • Retaining and growing sales revenue with energy accounts from Wood Mackenzie Supply Chain’s range of data and technology offerings
  • Developing and maintaining commercial relationships that lead to a deep understanding of clients’ existing needs and future requirements
  • Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of all services/products offered by Wood Mackenzie Supply Chain and its competitors to determine opportunities and threats
  • Building relationships across a cross-functional team to deliver against objectives

About You

Our Senior Associates have come from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds, so we are not solely focused on a candidate’s experience. What we are really looking for are individuals who are smart, ambitious, hungry to learn, and who want to work in a collaborative, team-based environment. Some other things we are looking for include:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Strong analytical and communication skills – we want people who can tell a story with numbers, and who aren’t afraid of digging into data
  • Experience owning or co-owning client relationships and communicating directly with decision makers
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of internal and external organizations
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced customer driven environment
  • Desire to tackle interesting challenges and unique opportunities with limited guidance
  • Have an intellectual curiosity and aptitude towards the growing fields of data and data analytics and how these tools help clients solve business critical issues.
  • Show effective organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage own workload effectively.
  • Be passionate about growing the business and have a genuine interest in developing and growing themselves.

At Wood Mackenzie we set high expectations for ourselves and our people when it comes to behaviour and capabilities as we believe it builds a culture where everyone can thrive and have real impact.

  • Act with integrity - behaving ethically, morally and in line with our values.
  • Collaborate across boundaries- forge impactful relationships beyond our immediate team.
  • Ownership & accountability- delivering on our commitments and owning the outcome.
  • Change agility- maintaining high performance through disruption and change.
  • Inspiring excellence- motivating others to deliver exceptional results.
  • Building talent - facilitating career and personal growth.

We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 3 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future.

The nature of this role precludes it from consideration for part-time or flexible working arrangements.
