Role: Senior Developer – Analytics & Reporting Role Type: Temporary – 12 Months Location: Macclesfield – 3 Days On-Site / 2 Remote Your New Company We are now looking for a Regulatory Data Office (RDO) Analytics and Reporting Senior Developer to join us in Global Regulatory Operations (GRO) within Regulatory Affairs. This is a growing area within a globally connected business, and a place to share learnings and best practices with our leading Regulatory specialists. The jobholder will be a member of the RDO Analytics and Reporting group, which is specifically tasked with providing analytical and reporting services in support of the Regulatory Affairs business. With a specific focus on regulatory compliance and data quality, data science and innovative development of systems and tools, the RDO Analytics and Reporting team is accountable for maximising the business value of our global Regulatory business data. Your New Role As a Senior Developer and member of the RDO Analytics and Reporting team you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards, as well as providing ad hoc expertise and advice in support of regulatory stakeholders, ensuring delivery of analytical and reporting services in support of the Regulatory business, with a specific focus on regulatory compliance and data quality as well as strategic-enabling support to GRO and its wider enterprise stakeholders. By combining an understanding of relevant business unit requirements, an awareness of the range of available data/information assets, and the in-depth analytical expertise that is critical to effective exploitation of these assets. You will also be driving innovation and the deployment of analytical solutions that address business challenges and needs, ensuring Regulatory business can gain full value from the available information to enable compliance and deliver competitive advantage. You do this by providing critical information in support of business strategy and performance, enterprise-wide regulatory compliance tracking, data quality improvement, externalisation, benchmarking, trend analysis, process improvements and decision support. Additional responsibilities can also include: Data model design in relation to the analytics platform with respect to the Veeva Enterprise Regulatory Vault (ERV) implementation, including query and report optimisation, data quality and compliance. Development of data integration workflows using ETL platforms such as Snap Logic and/or Snowflake procedures. Rapid development of tactical solutions to solve acute business problems, such as data quality or compliance issues using Microsoft Power Apps or similar “low code” frameworks. Development of advanced SQL (in Oracle or Snowflake) and PL/SQL scripts to respond to business requirements. Maintenance and development of existing portfolio of reports/dashboards and KPIs across various technical platforms (Spotfire, Power BI, Power Apps, Excel VBA, Python), providing continuous improvement and customer support. Analytical input where required to key performance metrics, internal and external benchmarks, compliance and data quality issues, as well as responding to ad hoc business requirements, including requests in support of internal/external audits and health authority inspections. Provide data modelling expertise, specifically with a view to integrating data across Regulatory Information Management (RIM) systems including, but not limited to Applications and Registrations, Submissions and Documents and Publishing. In liaison with quality managers develop and maintain robust business and technical documentation, including GxP documentation, analytical outputs, visualization, data models, data flows and training material (as required). Foster an Agile approach and lean methodology in the development of new and existing solutions and services. Essential Skills In-depth knowledge of data model design and advanced SQL, preferably in Snowflake or Oracle environment (PL/SQL). Data visualisation experience with Power BI. Experience from working in a regulated environment with proven ability of interpreting and integrating complex data sets and communicating them effectively. Experience in managing regulated systems (GxP) and the associated procedures and documentation. Experience in performance metrics & KPI’s Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies for solutions implementation and system development. Experience working in a globally matrixed organisation Desirable Skills Experience from working with Veeva Vault solutions, including its configuration and data model. Understanding of the procedures, processes and standards governing the submission and exchange of electronic information (documents and data) with health authorities worldwide, including familiarity with regulatory data-driven initiatives such as EVMPD and IDMP. Experience in using artificial intelligence (e.g. ML, NLP) to enable analytics services and interpreting complex data sets. Advanced experience in Power BI DAX scripting. WHY ASTRAZENECA?
