Senior Data Scientist. London

We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist with an academic background to join our team in London (hybrid - 2 days per week in the office).

You will report to the Director of Development.

As part of the Product organization, you will work with product managers and engineers to explore product innovations arising from emerging technologies and new customer use cases.

Technology You'll Use

Python, pandas, PyTorch, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI

Your Role Responsibilities

  • Research and develop expertise in product innovation areas including unstructured data management, AI governance, and protected cross-entity data sharing.
  • Conduct technical feasibility assessments of emerging technologies.
  • Recommend product enhancements to support integration of new technology and improve offerings for new customer use cases, including generative AI.
  • Collaborate with product, services, and sales teams to identify potential new customer trends and future product gaps over a 1-3 year horizon.

What We'd Like to See

  • Strong technical expertise in data-related areas, including data preparation, model training, and performance evaluation for machine learning/AI.
  • Passion for exploring and evaluating new data management and governance technologies, with the ability to compare approaches to find the best fit for use cases.
  • Effective technical communication skills to advocate solutions and explain them clearly to non-experts.
  • Proficiency in Python, including libraries like pandas, PyTorch, matplotlib, and Seaborn, with experience in data science and engineering.
  • Experience with cloud service technologies and enterprise tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Azure ML, and Google Vertex AI.

Role Essentials

  • Postgraduate education in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • BA/BS or equivalent, or relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
