We're seeking a seasoned professional to take on a senior role within a collaborative, cross-functional team. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to lead projects, mentor team members, and develop cutting-edge data science solutions, all while working in a flexible hybrid environment.

Key Skills and Experience:

Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and Excel.
Proficiency with data visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau.
Deep knowledge of NLP techniques, Transformers, Huggingface, and handling large text datasets.
Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Docker-Compose.
Comprehensive understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Capability to gain UK Security Clearance (SC).

Desirable:

SC or DV Cleared.
Experience in large-scale data mapping, migration, and profiling.
Proficiency with Linux command line tools.
Degree in a numerate discipline with a strong statistical focus.

Duties:

Lead and design data-driven solutions to support public sector digital transformation.
Apply advanced data analytics and machine learning to deliver impactful client solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and external organizations to drive innovation.
Mentor junior data scientists, fostering skill development and team growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, gathering requirements and providing strategic advice on business processes.
