Our client, a leading public-sector charity dedicated to making a meaningful impact, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their team. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will apply your expertise in statistical methods, machine learning, and predictive modeling to uncover valuable insights from data. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategy, enhance donor engagement, and optimize campaigns. With your experience in R/Python, machine learning algorithms, and data visualisation, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the charity's data-driven approach. Key Skills:

  • Statistical Methods & ML:Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning to uncover insights and support decision-making.
  • Predictive Modeling:Skilled in building models based on customer behavior and forecasting using aggregated data.
  • Programming:Expertise in R or Python for efficient, optimised code, with experience in version control, reusable packages, and code testing.
  • Data Visualisation:Proficient in creating web applications (Plotly, Dash, Shiny) and using tools like Tableau or Power BI for clear data presentation.


Contract Details:

  • Position:Permanent
  • Salary:£50,000 - £56,000
  • Location:Hybrid: Lytham - North West, Glasgow - Scotland, Durham - North East.
  • Pension:29% employer contribution!
