SR2 are currently looking for aSenior Data Scientistfor a at Series A energy start-up, focussed on making renewable energy accessible and easy for all.

Location:Central London (hybrid - 2 days onsite)

Salary:£85,000 – 95,000.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Head of Data and data science team to deliver key projects on time.
• Work with the latest ML models.
• Apply your expertise in analytics, data science, and the data storytelling to see beyond the numbers and understand how users interact with products and communications and how those insights can inform communication strategy.
• Build scalable machine learning pipelines and combine feature engineering with optimisation methods to improve the data product performance.
• Challenge existing methods to stay at the forefront of how data can be used to innovate.
• Work with the trading team to understand usage forecasting models and purchasing strategies.
• Produce data science models and insights that are directly delivered to external customers.
• Opportunity to progress into a leadership role as the data science team expands.
• Introduce new scientific ideas that will benefit the wider business.

Ideal background:

• 4+ years’ experience in the data science field.
• Proven experience with Python and/or R.
• Familiar with building and optimising data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP or Azure) for deploying data science models.
• Good commercial experience with ML models.
• Deep understanding of Time-Series.
