Interim Senior Data Scientist
Harmonic are delighted to be working alongside an exciting Healthtech Scale-up company looking to expand their Data team with a driven, ambitious Senior Data Scientist on a 6-Month contract (with potential to extend)
The Business
Our client is one of the UK's fastest growing companies within the Healthtech sector and having recently completed an extremely successful fund-raising round is looking to take on a seasoned contractor, with in-depth Data Science and Machine Learning experience, to assist on exciting new projects.
Based in Central London, our client embodies an exciting, fast paced culture which encourages and supports ambitious individuals to work on and develop cutting edge technology and have a real impact. Having recently secured Circa £60 million for growth and development our client is keen to find the brightest minds in Data Science to help take the business to the next level.
The Role
As a Senior Data Scientist you will be leveraging machine learning to solve complex business problems and driving innovation through predictive models. You will be at the forefront of developing, implementing and fine tuning cutting-edge ML models that transform data into actionable insights. You will also play a critical role in mentoring junior team members, shaping the data science strategy, and influencing decision-making within the data science department.
The ideal candidate will be ambitious, innovative and passionate about everything Data. You must have substantial experience in Data Science roles and hands on experience with Machine learning Models. You will also have some experience in leading or mentoring and have valuable insight into general data strategy, Stake holder management and cross team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, Building and Developing Machine learning models and in some instance leading tasks or projects
- Mentorship and development of Junior team members, providing guidance on best practices and professional growth
- Working closely with stake holders to understand and address business challenges and translate them into ML Solutions
- Research and implement state of the art advanced analytics solutions
- Optimization and Automation of existing models to ensure long term performance and scalability
- Collaboration with Marketing and Engineering teams
- Contribute to the constant evolution and development of company wide data strategy
Essential Skills
- Proven experience working in Data science for over 3 years specifically with ML and Predictive models
- Leadership/Mentoring experience, a role model and guide for junior team members
- Strong communication skills able to translate complex data, strategy and infomation to stake holders and external team leaders
- Comfortable working with industry leading technology in an ever advancing field
Preferred Skills
- Experience within Healthtech/Biotech or similar industry
- Expereince in a Start-up/Scale-up or high growth environment
- Contract/Interim Experience
Day Rate: £500-700 per day (Outside IR35)
Location: Central London (Hybrid)
