NLP/LLM Developer / Data Scientist - Edinburgh - Hybrid.

We are partnering with an exciting AI/Machine Learning start-up in Edinburgh, currently revolutionising the way data is interpreted in creative industries. This start-up is leveraging NLP and Large Language Models (LLMs) to build cutting-edge solutions for transforming unstructured data into actionable insights, with applications ranging from automated content creation to real-time customer sentiment analysis.

This start-up focuses on innovating within AI and machine learning to address the creative data processing needs of industries such as media, advertising, and entertainment. Their platform uses advanced NLP models and LLMs to automate creative workflows, helping companies extract meaningful insights from massive amounts of unstructured content, including videos, social media posts, and customer feedback. Their mission is to empower brands to unlock deeper connections with their audiences, using AI to bridge the gap between human creativity and data.

Thanks to a real explosion in growth, they're now looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the team. Within the role you will:

• Develop and deploy NLP models for processing and understanding large volumes of unstructured creative data, such as text, images, and video captions.
• Utilise Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate human-like content and automate data-driven insights for creative teams.
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to optimise models for performance and scalability.
• Integrate NLP and machine learning solutions into the company’s platform to enhance its functionality and drive innovation.
• Contribute to the development of end-to-end solutions, from model research and development to deployment in the production environment.
• Leverage cloud infrastructure on AWS for scalable model deployment and maintenance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in NLP, AI, and machine learning techniques, integrating new developments into the company’s platform.

About You:

• Proven experience in NLP and working with Large Language Models.
• Expertise in Python and relevant libraries such as SpaCy or Pandas.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong understanding of data pre-processing and text data workflows.
• A creative mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and solve problems in innovative ways.
