Full Time - 35 hours per week.

The Opportunity:

This Research Associate position will contribute to the RAPID: Real-time process modelling & diagnostics within the Institute for Data, Imaging & Communications at the University of Edinburgh, which is funded by EPSRC and in collaboration with colleagues at Queen’s University Belfast and Seagate Technology.

This role is UE07 and is available on a fixed term basis for up to 12 months.

Your skills and attributes for success: 

A good undergraduate degree and a PhD in applied mathematics/statistics, computer science, electrical engineering or a clearly related area (Desirable). Experience in randomized numerical linear algebra Experience in solving partial differential equations using finite elements Experience in solving ill-posed inverse problems.
