Job Description:
As an R&D AI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and deploying state-of-the-art AI solutions. You will work closely with a talented team of researchers and engineers to push the boundaries of what AI can achieve. Your primary focus will be on large language models (LLMs) and the vector embedding ecosystem, but you will also be expected to bring a strong production engineering mindset to ensure that our solutions are not only innovative but also robust and scalable.

Key Responsibilities for the R&D AI Engineer:
Develop and optimise large language models (LLMs) to enhance AI-driven applications.
Design, implement, and maintain vector embedding systems to improve data retrieval and processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into production-ready solutions.
Ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of AI systems in a production environment.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to inform and guide project development.
Contribute to research publications and patent filings as part of the R&D team.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
Proven experience with large language models (LLMs) and their application in real-world scenarios.
Strong background in vector embedding techniques and their integration into AI systems.
Solid production engineering skills, with experience in deploying and maintaining AI models at scale.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
