Quantitative Trader - Equity Statistical Arbitrage MFT:

A leading multi-billion dollar hedge fund is seeking a skilled Quantitative Trader (MFT) to execute and optimize strategies for their highly successful Equity Statistical Arbitrage desk. This role entails implementing trading strategies, conducting real-time market analysis, and making data-driven trading decisions. The focus will be on generating consistent PnL while maintaining a high Sharpe ratio. You'll work closely with Portfolio Managers to execute and refine trading strategies, with potential for progression towards a Portfolio Manager role.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with global teams to design, implement, and optimise high-performing equity statistical arbitrage strategies
2. Enhance alpha generation through innovative signal development and strategy implementation
3. Effectively manage risk to optimise trading performance.
4. Develop and maintain low-latency trading systems for efficient strategy execution

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
2. Years of experience in systematic equities trading and developing high Sharpe Ratio statistical arbitrage strategies
3. Wealth of experience in coding skills with languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
4. Years of experience with Mid-Frequency Trading (MFT) and using low-latency systems.
