We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Project Manager (UK Defense projects) to join our dynamic team.

 

As a PM, you will own various projects and customer relationships as a results-driven, and innovative operations leader. You will manage activities and requirements throughout the lifecycle of the projects you are assigned. This will include but not be limited to project initiation, execution, monitoring, control, and closure phases and you will be responsible for meeting all financial, revenue, productivity, and profitability performance targets.

 

You will manage a team of technical documentation delivery specialists and assign resources to match the ebb and flow of differing project needs.


What You Will Do:

  • Define the project scope to align with client expectations and business needs and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) as per contractual requirements.
  • Liaise with teams to support or create proposals for prospective projects and determine the necessary technology requirements for solutions.
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan, including schedules and milestones, to guide successful delivery.
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Monitor and control project progress, track performance, and report updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage changes to the project scope and identify as well as mitigate risks and opportunities.
  • Oversee project finances, including managing purchase orders (POs), revenue, and invoicing in accordance with contractual milestones.
  • Prepare performance forecasts to maintain financial oversight and ensure targets are met.
  • Establish and implement quality plans that meet ISO standards, while applying strategies for root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement improvements to optimize project outcomes.
  • Manage team performance, including creating development plans, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing employee morale to ensure staff retention and well-being.
  • Develop and execute communication plans for projects, attending client and internal meetings, and providing clear reporting to all stakeholders.

 

To Be Successful You Will Have:

  • UK nationality is required and no known reason why DBS clearance may not be granted.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Project Management.
  • Demonstratable background in managing and reporting project financials.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance practices, principles, and methodologies.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience of people and team management is a plus.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Experience of working with in an engineering field and/or with knowledge of technical documentation (preferable, but not essential).
