About the role:

As Programme Manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a programme of Data related integration and transformation change projects You will work closely with the Data Programmes Technical Lead to ensure the programme delivery is aligned to company standards, solutions architecture and data management framework. You will ensure programme delivery proceeds in alignment with agreed project management processes, governance and reporting structures, is delivered to a high standard, on time and within agreed budgets. The Programme Manager plays a pivotal role in providing leadership, driving development, ensuring successful delivery, and efficient management of the programme. They will work closely with the teams involved, prioritising and coordinating project resources dedicated to the various initiatives within the IS programme.

Requirements

Here are the key skills and experience relevant to this role:

You will have experience in delivering data related projects and programmes. Experience and exposure to the following data discipline areas is preferred and important

Data warehousing /ETL / modelling (in particular azure platform)

Digital delivery (Microsoft power platform)

Data science, analytics (power bi / python biased)

Data governance frameworks and delivery

Substantial experience of managing multiple projects as part of a larger technology enabled business programme. Experience of managing large technology teams in a cross functional organisation. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the programme objectives, inspire and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with IS and business strategy. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and “sell” the programme goals and objectives to the stakeholders and to technical leadership. Strong business acumen, including industry and domain-specific knowledge of the organisation and its business units. Familiarity with industry trends and innovation, and how other organisations are using them to drive digital business. Conflict resolution, influencing and negotiation experience and skills in an environment with high competition for resources. Strong project planning and execution skills. Ability to develop projects and deliver them against financial and resource constraints. Proven track record with the use of reporting tools to monitor programme activities and analyse programme performance. Strong knowledge of project management principles including Waterfall and Agile. Qualifications in one of the following project delivery methodology or frameworks and experience of others, such as:

PMI standards, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)
