The Richmond Business School is currently recruiting for variable hours tutors to deliver skills or certificated provision at either our Parkshot, Richmond or Hillcroft, Surbiton campus.
About youWe are looking for an individual/s with excellent knowledge and an ability to reach learners at a range of levels, and who can demonstrate they can create an exciting and creative learning environment. They need to ideally have industrial experience and be qualified to a level above the level they are to teach. Experience in assessing programmes at Level 2 or 3 is desirable.
It is advantageous to hold a Level 5 teaching qualification and an appropriate amount of teaching experience. An Assessor Qualification e.g., TAAQ or equivalent is desirable, or willingness to work towards this qualification.

Advanced Maths for Computing - this requires delivery as part of an access to higher education diploma which has specific units on maths for computing, calculus, algebra, trigonometry. the work is approximately half to one day per week over a year. Cybersecurity - This requires delivery as part of a level 3 Cert/Diploma which has specific units Cloud Services - this requires delivery of a certified accredited professional training course. Experience with cloud concepts, services, security and architecture. Training will be provided for a proprietary platform. 3D Modelling - Blender, Maya, AutoCAD - to deliver onsite short introductory courses and awards in 3D modelling within our purpose-built multimedia suite. Evening vacancy over both terms. Unreal Engine – to deliver an introductory course over a term during evenings in games design and development. You will have experience with teaching Unreal engine and have the ability to teach level design, character design, gameplay mechanics and implementing basic controls. User Interface Design and User Experience with Figma - to deliver an introductory course in UI/UX using Figma for desktop, web or mobile based applications. Web Design and Development - you will have experience with teaching web design using a platform such as Wordpress, Wix or equivalent. A skillset with the teaching of APIs and frameworks such as React/Node. JS is an advantage. Music Technology with Ableton Live - Experience with creating and producing music with Ableton Live, recording techniques, audio editing and mixing, creative sound design, composition and live performance. Sound publishing and distribution. Cybersecurity, threat intelligence, Incident response and practical control measures. The work is approximately one day per week over a year. Hardware and Networking - to deliver a full day level 2 qualification, 2 times a year. AI, Machine Learning and Programming - To deliver new provision in evenings, termly.
Tutors work closely with programme managers in the design, planning and delivery of courses to stretch and challenge our learners, as well as prepare a variety of learning materials, provide guidance to learners on progression options, attend termly meetings and contribute to CPD and training as required to keep up to date.
