As part of the Peacock Decision Sciences team, the Product Manager, Financial Data Products is responsible for overseeing the successful movement, lineage, modeling, and democratization of financial data throughout the data infrastructure and pipelines that support and produce the financial reporting and metrics for Peacock and Global Streaming. This role involves providing consistent data requirements, clarifications, and answering any data flow questions for the GSP pertaining to identity and transactional records. Additionally, it requires guiding our partners and various enterprise business units downstream to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. This position is essential in developing and maintaining our financial reporting framework and ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of financial data.
The Manager will work hands-on with the data and collaborate with business leaders across marketing, growth, compliance, and other cross-functional teams to achieve a best-in-class revenue and transactional system. Building strong relationships with these teams is crucial for aligning financial data movement and reporting strategies with broader organizational goals. The role also includes leading data movement from Point-of-Sale systems through middleware to final reporting, designing data mapping, providing lineage and traceability metrics, and ensuring continuous improvement throughout the financial data topology. This position will also coordinate with internal and external auditors, develop and maintain financial reporting tools, and support strategic decision-making processes
Responsibilities:
Lead, define, and facilitate data movement from Point-of-Sale systems through middleware to final reporting. Design, and lead data mapping using industry standard tools and methodologies. Provide lineage and traceability metrics for data and produce data flow diagrams. Provide for documentation of such lineage and access to common reporting tools for structure and content. Execute continuous improvement throughout the financial data topology including ensuring compliance between financial systems and with CGA and external audit policies. Coordinate with internal and external auditors where questions pertain to this role subject area, ensuring accurate and timely responses to inquiries and audit requirements. Align financial data movement and reporting strategies and processes with the broader organizational goals and collaborate closely with various departments, including Finance, Compliance, and Legal, to ensure consistency and accuracy across all financial reporting activities. Develop and maintain financial reporting tools and systems, providing ongoing support and training to team members and stakeholders. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights into financial performance, trends, and variances, supporting strategic decision-making processes. Inform the design and development of self-serve dashboards to enable “Analytics as a Team Sport” and evangelize data democratization throughout the organization. Qualifications
5+ years of analytical experience with large data sets and analytical tools in a highly analytical environment 2+ years of experience working with analytics for direct-to-consumer businesses (video streaming, eCommerce, subscription, or billing operations experience a plus) Fluent in SQL, proficient in Excel (R or Python a plus) Experience with Data Modeling tools and processes and conducting modeling sessions. Experience with Collibra or other data lineage or data democratization tools is a plus. Experience w/ Big Query / Google technology stack or similar. Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in Analytics, Data Science and Computer Science experience
