Job Overview:

Lead cutting-edge AI and machine learning initiatives in the biotechnology space, playing a pivotal role in shaping the AI strategy, driving research, and developing novel AI models that address complex problems in drug discovery, genomics, and personalised medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of data scientists and ML engineers to design and implement AI-driven solutions.
• Drive the AI/ML roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., software engineers, domain scientists, and stakeholders) to integrate AI solutions into product pipelines.
• Conduct advanced research in AI/ML methods, including supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning, and generative models.
• Develop and deploy scalable ML models for large datasets, particularly in the areas of genomics, drug discovery, and healthcare applications.
• Investigate new areas in deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and other AI methodologies to stay at the forefront of the field.
• Lead the end-to-end development and deployment of machine learning pipelines, including model training, optimisation, testing, and monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior scientists and data engineers.
• Collaborate with external partners, universities, and industry experts to foster innovation and leverage the latest advancements in AI.

Qualifications and Skills:

• PhD in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in AI/ML, with a demonstrated track record in leading AI research projects or teams.
• Expertise in ML algorithms, deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and large-scale data management.
• Experience applying AI to biological or healthcare problems (drug discovery, genomics) is a strong plus.
