As a Principal Data Product Manager at Trainline you will
Work within the Global Customer Journey a pivotal crossfunctional strategic initiative and your mission is to drive our data product investments focusing on elevating the customer experience with smart personalised solutions You will harness the latest in AI and ML technology to ensure our customer offerings are not just delightful and frictionless but also at the forefront of industry innovation as a leader of Trainlines dedicated AI investment portfolio
In your capacity as Principal Data Product Manager you will guide our data product portfolios direction accelerating the performance of our Data Engineering Business Intelligence AI and ML teams This role is central to forging strategic alliances with business stakeholders capturing datadriven opportunities to boost value creation and ensuring delivery prioritization and alignment with available resources
In this role you will partner with Data Science Lead for your business cross function area to spearhead strategic discussion on our data investment strategy demonstrating an exceptional ability to set a vision and influence senior stakeholders to buy into the vision You will advocate for highpriority initiatives driving a culture of continuous improvement and applying agile methodologies to maximise the return on our investments
Working closely with the delivery lead for your data delivery team you will manage significant projects deeply exploring solution options to maximising customer impact Together with your team youll devise and implement detailed plans with clear milestones for monitoring progress and adapting strategies as necessary
In our autonomous environment as a Principal Data Product Manager your influence and impact will be substantial Your leadership will be crucial in pioneering innovations and integrating highvalue AI and ML Data Products thus playing a vital role in our growth strategy guiding execution and promoting a culture of continuous learning in data products
Qualifications

University degree or equivalent preferably in a quantitative field such as economics mathematics engineering finance etcProven track of delivering data driven B2C productsMinimum of 7 years in senior roles within data or technical product teams with a focus on strategy setting agile methodology and leading complex datadriven projectsProven experience or substantial exposure to AI and ML product development with a strong passion for using these technologies to drive business growth and innovationExceptional communication skills with the ability to distil complex concepts and influence strategic directions at all levels including senior managementExtensive experience in evaluating measuring and communicating data product success and value deliveryExtensive and proven experience using SQL to work with dataExcellent Excel skills; good PowerPoint skillsExperience of working with modern data platforms and technologiesExperience with data scripting languages eg SQL Python R etc or statisticalmathematical software eg R SAS or MatlabThe interview process
