Platform Engineer

On-site - Central London - Contract - £600-£730 per day (inside IR35)

Background:

We're seeking a talented Platform Engineer to join our exceptional client, working in a secure on-site environment in support of their Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence teams / workloads. This role will require you to undergo security clearance prior to taking-up your assignment.

What will I be doing?

• Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure and platforms for DS/ML/AI workloads
  
  
• Developing and implementing CI/CD pipelines
  
  
• Collaborating with the software development team
  
  
• Managing and optimising infrastructure costs
  
  
• Ensuring DevOps practices align with the organisation's goals
  
  What experience, knowledge and aptitudes will I need?
  
  
• Ability to clearly articulate and explain DevOps principles
  
  
• Technical background in Data Engineering and build / release environments, with experience of Continuous Integration tools
  
  
• Key technical skills: AWS Services and Infrastructure; Azure cloud; ElasticSearch; OpenShift / Kubernetes; JupyterHub; OAuth / OIDC; Docker; Python; Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform); Kafka / Spark; Databricks
