Our client in the retail sector is currently is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to manage their data engineering team and shape the organization’s data infrastructure. You will design and implement scalable data architecture, drive data governance, and ensure seamless data integration. Collaborating with key stakeholders like the CDO, CTO, and Head of Analytics, you'll play a crucial role in building data-driven strategies and supporting data science capabilities.

What We Need From You

• Experience managing a team
• Worked as an individual contributor at a senior level
• Excellent communication and leadership skills: with the ability to initiate and drive projects proactively
• Extensive AWS knowledge, including Redshift, Kinesis, Athena, S3, etc.
• Experience with Airflow or a similar ETL tool, extensive Python experience and data modelling knowledge
• Proficiency with build tools such as GitLab
• Enjoy working with other engineers and stakeholders

• Providing leadership and management in the data domain
• Leading and ensuring on time and high quality delivery of the data roadmap
• Hands-on continuing to migrate systems to Python
• Coaching, mentoring and inspiring members of your team
