Role Overview: Principal AI Engineer

Our client seek an experienced Principal AI Engineer to lead and deliver Generative AI solutions. This hands-on role involves technical leadership and coordination of their LLM Ops teams in the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead AI teams to develop Gen AI solutions on Azure and other platforms.
• Implement LLM Ops processes with our security and privacy teams.
• Ensure efficient Gen AI and ML operations and architectures.
• Handle unstructured data for interactions.
• Develop embedding models and intent recognition models.
• Implement semantic search using vector embeddings.
• Optimize models for performance on Azure.
• Deploy AI models with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage AI solutions for high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with project leads on AI-related projects.
• Champion best practices for AI and ML engineering.
• Enhance data pipelines and ML Ops performance.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in machine learning and AI, focusing on generative AI.
• Proficiency in Python and key ML frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with embedding models and intent recognition.
• Understanding of RAI and ethical principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with third-party stakeholders.
• Understanding of SDLC & Engineering delivery in a data and AI context.
