Aboutthe role

We have an excitingopportunity for a Multi Skilled Operative, with a main trade ofCarpentry/Plumbing to join our Planned WorksTeam.

This role will work to help deliver aneffective and efficient repairs service to our residents, workingon occupied and empty homes in order to deliver our planned worksprogramme, including Kitchen and Bathroom upgrades and Aids andAdaptations. You will ensure that repairs are carried out in atimely manner and to ensure a high standard of work to ourproperties.

This plays a key role in beingresponsible in providing an excellent service to our residents, soif you want to help make a difference to our residents, this may bethe job for you!

The main focus of the roles willbe:

  • To be responsible for effectiveand efficient repairs/works to our homes, carrying out works to ahigh standard in empty homes and occupiedproperties.
  • To support, when required with theresponsive repairs and maintenance works within empty and occupiedproperties.
  • To complete allocated work withincarpentry/plumbing trade/skill set as well as any additionaltrade/skills such as tiling, painting / decorating and plasteringetc.
  • To help us provide an excellent service toour residents, minimising call backs and maximising first timefixes.

AboutYou

The successful candidate willhave the following: 

  • Minimum ofeither full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 inCarpentry.
  • Skilled in other trades such astiling, plumbing, plastering, painting and decoratingetc.
  • A full UK driving licence as travelthroughout Norfolk and North Suffolk will berequired.
  • Experience of working in PropertyMaintenance.
  • Good IT, literacy andcommunication skills.
  • A positive can-doattitude and the ability to work independently and problemsolve.

  All staff andvolunteers working for Broadland will always be expected toact in a manner that is consistent with our corporatevalues andbehaviours. 

 Thesuccessful candidate will be required to undertake a basicDisclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will join ouron-callrota.
