Medical Statistician

As Medical Statistician you will providecomprehensive statistical support to researchers assisting them instudy design data analysis and the communication of findings. Thisincludes performing statistical analyses on projectgenerated dataguiding researchers in study design and supporting nonstatisticalteam members with basic statisticalmethodology.
Additional responsibilities will includecontributing to the development and updating of Standard OperatingProcedures (SOPs) related to data processing and statisticalmatters. Additionally the position requires contributing to trialprotocols case report forms databases and grant proposals in acollaborative multidisciplinaryenvironment.

Your responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Providestatistical support to researchers advising and assisting on studydesign data analysis and basic statisticalmethodology
• Perform statistical analyses ondata generated by the project and assist in communicating thefindings in peerreviewed publications orreports
• Providing support in updating theStandard Operating Procedures for data processing and statisticalmatters
• Contribute to the development of trialprotocols design of the case report forms and databases in amultidisciplinary environment
• Contribute toLSTM research with an emphasis on the provision of statisticalexpertise to clinical and biomedical researchprojects.
• Contribute to the designimplementation and conduct of clinical trials and epidemiologicalstudies in lowresource settings

Qualifications andskillsrequired:

• Postgraduatedegree in medical statistics or biostatistics orequivalent
• Experience of medical statistics inapplied research and epidemiological research such as performingsample size calculations writing analysis plans performing analysesreporting and interpreting findings
• Experienceof clinical research
• Knowledge of medicalstatistics and epidemiology
• Statisticalprogramming experience for exampleSAS/Stata/R
