Key Operator - Mars, Royal Canin

Castle Cary

Permanent

Shift: alternating weekend shifts - 8hrs Fri + 12hrs 10pm-10am Sat & Sun or 12hrs 10am-10pm Sat & Sun + 8hrs Mon

Salary: Circa £28,000 + shift pay & company bonus

Are you an experienced Operator looking for your next challenge? If so, here at Mars, Royal Canin we now have an exciting opportunity for a Op to come and join our factory team! If you have a FMCG background and are looking for the opportunity to join a passionate team of associates whilst also being given the chance to develop and progress personally then look at the below!

The Key Operator manages various production activities including: planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.

What are we looking for?

  • FMCG experience running food processes or packaging lines
  • Experience in coordinating different activities in an operational environment ( managing / leading people experience is a plus)
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Experience in cleaning and sanitation
  • Nice-to-have: FLT licence



What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Delivering production as planned inline with operational targets
  • Coordinate different operational activities in shift
  • Run pack line or food process if operator is absent
  • Step us as team leader in 10-15% of time
