Data Science Manager | £75k - £95k Base Salary + bonus and benefits | (Hybrid - with regular business travel to Glasgow (1-2 times a month))

What You’ll Be Doing:

In this role, you’ll be managing a team of 8 that are responsible for leading the development, deployment, and ongoing support of AI/ML models within one of the top financial institutions.

You’ll be responsible for managing models in production, ensuring seamless operation, and optimising performance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading a team of talented data scientists & ML Engineers , driving advanced analytics and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment.
• Overseeing the AI/ML lifecycle ⏳ from ideation to deployment, ensuring best practices in ML Ops.
• Managing governance and compliance frameworks ✅, ensuring AI/ML projects adhere to ethical and regulatory standards.
• Engaging with key stakeholders , communicating AI strategies, and delivering valuable insights.
• Innovating by integrating advanced analytics into the bank’s operations, enhancing decision-making processes.

What We’re Looking For:

Our client is searching for a Data Science Manager who combines technical expertise with strategic vision. The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong experience in AI/ML model development and deployment. ⚙️ ️
• Experience building commercial Gen AI & LLM solutions
• A solid understanding of governance and compliance in AI/ML technologies. ️
• Proven team leadership skills ‍ ‍ , with the ability to develop and inspire a high-performing team.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills , capable of translating complex AI strategies to various audiences.
