Please apply through the following link directly:https://feebris.careers.hibob.com/jobs/4cab679d-67e6-4216-8ecb-67fdcbc8c5beJob description Role: Junior Software Engineer (Intern) Full-time: London UK head office / remote working (hybrid working) - 3 days a week in the office Duration: 3 months Competitive compensation (£35K - £44K per annum) Further employment: performance review in the last two weeks for a potential transition into a permanent position (visa sponsorship could be offered at this point) You’ll join our core software engineering team, designing and building tech that literally saves lives. You will work across mobile, web and cloud. You will build ground-breaking software that: deploys incredibly advanced Machine Learning models (developed by our ML team); captures data directly from the latest medical sensors; protects patients’ most sensitive data. You will work with an outstanding, truly multidisciplinary team to make this software accessible in the most remote communities for non-medical users. Our tech stack In the Feebris software engineering team we utilise the following technologies: Javascript for our backend and front-end code GraphQL for our API interface React/Redux for our doctor-facing web applications React Native/Redux and Android for our offline-first mobile application AWS for our cloud infrastructure (mostly based on RDS, S3 and serverless Lambda functions) Bluetooth LE for communicating with multiple medical devices Job requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience At least one year of experience in the Software Engineering industry Familiarity with Typescript, React and Node Familiarity with SQL databases and version control systems (Git) Required skills Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and ways of working. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excited by a challenge and eager to get out of your comfort zone. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently on projects. Excellent communication in English, both written and verbal; effective ability to articulate complex ideas and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Humble and self-motivated. Job responsibilities Be a contributor to the design, development, and operation of the system. Write efficient, clean, and maintainable code while adhering to best practices and coding standards. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback and new ideas. Identify and troubleshoot issues, debug code, and preropose innovative solutions to optimize software performance. Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements gathering and analysis to testing, deployment, and maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions. Take ownership of work, with ideas and recommendations being heard within a close, collaborative working environment.
