About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate the delivery of strategic projects within our Portfolio. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet their objectives by overseeing multiple initiatives and managing resources efficiently

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in implementing new initiatives within the team. Your responsibilities will include overseeing multiple projects and introducing innovative methodologies, tools, and best practices. The position involves evaluating current processes, driving efficiency improvements, and integrating advanced project management technologies. These efforts aim to enhance project delivery and promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

By driving these changes, the Project Manager will help maintain London Digital Hub (LDH) position within the group and industry, adapting to changing demands and enhancing client value through innovative project management strategies.

MS Amlin is part of a global top-10 insurance group, MS&AD. We’re made up of four distinct businesses covering Global Reinsurance, Lloyds Franchise, Local Specialty Insurer, and Business Services

This role sits in the London Digital Hub (LDH) under the Data and Analytics Unit of MSIG CS and is part of a network of 6 Global Digital Hubs. LDHis currently recruiting for individuals with industry and project management skills that can strengthen our capability to address complex programme challenges and create conditions for success for the group’s most impactful technological programmes.

With a remit across the group the London Digital Hub delivers best in solutions across the value-chain. We’re Product focused, building and maintaining a portfolio of best-in-class tooling delivered as both a platform and a service to our clients. 

The team provides unique capabilities across data science; data engineering; full-stack; and change.

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing

Defining and delivering multiple projects, maintaining effective relationships across teams.

Managing projects to milestones, risks, issues, and finances.

Coordinate with Technology teams to manage dependencies and ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality project delivery.

Supervise all activities related to design, development, testing, and delivery of projects.

Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, executive sponsor(s), and key stakeholders

Setting and continually managing project and programme expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders

Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one or more initiative(s) simultaneously

Thirst for Industry Knowledge:Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Champion a quality culture within the company, promote Continued Professional Development (CPD), and uphold current standards in the industry.

A Stakeholder Evangelist:Substantial experience managing internal and external stakeholders to meet project success. Experience in planning and leading external stakeholder workshops and documenting project plans. Proven organisational skills, with the ability to deliver agreed workload within deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

What We Need From You

Extensive experience in managing projects with medium to high complexity, business critical and large cross-functional teams within a financial and regulated environment

Solid understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle and be prepared to challenge the status quo and experience of working within an agile project team

 Adept at breaking requirements down into user stories for implementation

Strong independent thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive nature and not afraid to challenge as appropriate 

Proven ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

Effective communicator with internal stakeholders at all levels within the business to understand their needs

What Can You Expect From Us?

Competitive Base Salary

Performance Related Discretionary Bonus

Holiday: 28 days core annual leave, and you can buy up to 5 days

Pension:A minimum 2% employee contribution plus 7% MS Amlin contribution (9%) up to a maximum of 5% employee contribution plus 13% MS Amlin contribution (18%)

Private Medical:cover for yourself. Family members/dependants can be added

Flex Fund:£1,000 (pro-rated based on start date) to spend on flexible benefits

Life Assurance: 10 x annualised base salary
