The Role:
- IT Project Manager
- Oxfordshire, UK
- Hybrid role - 3 to 4 days a week onsite required so you must be living in the area or willing to relocate with 1 to 2 months maximum

Role Brief:
As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a diverse project portfolio that spans several business locations. You will be the key liaison between technical teams, business units, and stakeholders, ensuring each project aligns with organizational goals, is delivered on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Portfolio Management
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring efficient resource allocation, prioritization, and risk management across locations.
- Provide comprehensive project updates, including KPIs, timeline adherence, and budget utilization to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- IT and Technical Oversight
- Oversee IT application upgrades, ensuring version control, testing, and troubleshooting processes meet quality standards.
- Lead AI Proof of Concept (PoC) projects, coordinating with data science teams to set objectives, allocate resources, and meet timelines.
- Plan and manage new IT hardware configurations, including logistics for deployment and installation, working with on-site teams as needed.
- Multi-Site and Remote Project Coordination
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders across various business locations, using remote tools to ensure alignment and progress.
- Coordinate site visits when necessary and provide support across different time zones and regions.
- Stakeholder Communication and Change Management
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating clear communication and setting expectations on project timelines and deliverables.
- Develop and execute change management plans, including training and support for end-users affected by application upgrades and new hardware installations.
- Project Methodology and Tools
- Utilize project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) suited to the needs of each project.
- Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Asana to track progress, allocate tasks, and monitor deliverables.
- Budgeting and Financial Oversight
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring financial controls are in place to prevent cost overruns.
- Work with vendors for procurement, contract negotiations, and management of service agreements related to hardware and software solutions.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Foster an environment of teamwork and motivation, driving performance and accountability within project resource teams.
- Encourage open communication and provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering growth and development within the project team.
Skills Brief:
- Demonstrated experience in one or more areas of IT applications or hardware technology. Example, Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, etc…
- Proven experience in managing multi-site projects.
- Good understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Asana.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders across levels and regions.
- Financial acumen for budget management and resource allocation.
Person Brief:
This role requires an individual with strong technical knowledge, especially in IT infrastructure, manufacturing application management, and emerging technologies like AI, coupled with proven project management and communication skills.
The following are essential requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
- Life sciences, pharmaceutical or medical devices manufacturing environment experience is absolutely essential and only candidates with this experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of project management experience, with a focus on IT application upgrades, infrastructure deployments, or PoC projects, preferably in multi-location settings.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support multi-location project requirements.
- Ability to work across time zones and manage teams remotely.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to overcoming project challenges.
