▷ (Immediate Start) Lead Technical Architect

We are looking for a Lead TechnicalArchitect with a background in data and software development tosupport a major UK Government programme.This position is a fulltime, permanent role and applicants must have (or be able toacquire) SC clearance.  Ad-hoc travel may be required tovarious customer and Leidos sitesTHE ROLEYou will work closely withthe programme delivery manager, fellow technical specialists,external partners and our customer’s teams to support thediscovery, design, delivery and operation of a wide range of datasolutions. You will undertake the following activities:Lead thetechnical design of services and solutions.Provide assurance of thedesign and delivery of services and solutions, ensuring they aresecure, maximise automation and re-use and meet all customertechnical requirements and standards.Provide technical leadershipto other architects.Provide mentoring across internal and customerteams.PROFILERequired Skills:Ability to interact well with the mostsenior customer stakeholders.Ability to translate technicaldiscussions into business terms.Experience of creating andsustaining high level relationships with vendors, providers, andcontractors.Solid writing and communication skills.Experience ofdesigning, developing and integrating secure solutions in publiccloud environments (e.g., AWS or Microsoft Azure).Experiencemanaging and deriving requirements and establishing and maintainingtraceability between them and solution components.Experience ofstandard engineering and service managementmethodologies.Experience of database technology such as MySQL,Oracle or Amazon Redshift.Experience of one of the following: PowerBI, Pentaho Business Analytics, ElasticSearch, Solr, ApacheKafka.Mentoring and coaching.Desired Skills:Experience of Pythonand its numerical, data and machine learning libraries.Exposure toETL tooling.Exposure to data science and analytical tooling such asSAS or Posit.Design and development of solutions in performancecritical environments.What we do for you:At Leidos we arePASSIONATE about customer success, UNITED as a team and INSPIRED tomake a difference.
