You willwork on: * The Recommender Systems group is tasked with deliveringhighly relevant, personalised product ranking and recommendationsto users across the entire Viator product. Further improving ourproduct rankings with state-of-the-art approaches has high-levelexecutive support and is a crucial part of the companys 3-yearstrategy. * Get to work on a variety of Recsys modalities using amodern tech stack with a freedom to explore modelling approaches tofind the optimal solution. * Design, code, experiment and implementmodels and algorithms to enhance customer satisfaction, increasesupplier value, optimize business results, and ensureinfrastructure efficiency. * Collaborate with product managers andvarious business stakeholders to ensure top-quality outcomes tomeet internal objectives. * Investigate and adopt innovativeconcepts that offer tangible benefits. To be successful in therole, youll need: * 5+ years of hands-on data science experience. *In-depth knowledge of AI/ML/DL, Statistics, and related open-sourcelibraries. * Previous experience of working on industrial graderecommendation systems and ideally familiarity with offlineevaluation techniques. * Awareness of current ML techniques, keenon self-improvement and striving to solve real-world datachallenges. * Strong skills in SQL and at least one programminglanguage. * To be comfortable in code reviews, discussingarchitecture, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team forregular model deployments. * Experience in deploying onlinesolutions and analysing real-time results through A/B testing. * Tobe passionate about mentoring junior members of the team, and havea strong desire to help us perform to the best of our ability. *Leadership qualities, autonomy, and team collaboration skills. *Clear communication skills, awareness of the audience, andproactive sharing of findings. Actively involved in businessnetworking and able to communicate complex ideas across thebusiness simply and effectively. Desired qualifications: * Mastersor PhD in Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, orrelated quantitative disciplines. * Knowledge in (any or all) UserModelling, Representation Learning, Large Language Models (LLM). *Prior experience in e-commerce or at an Online Travel Agency.
