What will you be doing?

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, results-focused, detail-oriented marketing professional in the London head office. As part of the marketing leadership team, the Head of Regional Marketing – EMEA will lead a team of regional marketing experts in developing and executing regional marketing tactics to drive high-quality sales leads.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving continuous performance improvement through implementing best practices, ensuring strategic thinking, and leveraging regional and market knowledge.

Key Responsibilities and Competencies

Leadership

  • Build a motivated and high-performing Regional Marketing team in London and Dubai, with responsibility for recruitment, learning and development, and retention.

Effective Communicator

  • Develop and deliver a range of multi-mode communications that convey ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Provide timely information to key stakeholders across Argus, including the Marketing Leadership Team, Sales team, and regional leaders.
  • Write the full range of marketing communications across EMEA, demonstrating how to use features and when to use benefits.

Commercially Aware

  • Demonstrate an understanding of Argus’ commercial goals and drive ROI within the EMEA team.
  • Manage the EMEA marketing budget.
  • Ensure there is a focus on activities that drive value and look for innovative solutions to remove inefficiencies, course correcting when projects do not make commercial sense.
  • Build, use, and share knowledge and understanding of competitors, markets, region, and company propositions to identify opportunities for growth and improved effectiveness.

Implement Strategies

  • Develop and take responsibility for the marketing strategy within EMEA including gathering requirements, prioritising agreed objectives, measuring against pre-defined KPIs, and continuously reviewing and improving the plan.
  • Develop region-specific marketing initiatives that support the EMEA sales strategy and align with the sector business strategy.

Understand Customers

  • Identify and gain insight into customer needs, pain points, and market drivers. Use the insights to better inform and strengthen strategic planning and execution process.
  • Share knowledge with stakeholders across the business to improve marketing collateral and value propositions.

Understands Products

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Argus products, including Argus’ role in the market and how our products and services benefit customers.
  • Ensure the EMEA team can clearly articulate the value proposition for each of the products in their remit, the customer personas, and key facts.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of key competitors and clearly articulate their value propositions and the Argus differentiators.

Data-Led Decision Maker

  • Use the tools available to access relevant data and extract information required to generate insights.
  • Continuously look for additional insights that will support reporting, analysis, and improve decision making.
  • Coach the Regional Marketing team on how they can leverage data, ensuring they can report on key findings, are able to spot errors, trends, and curious datapoints that trigger further investigation and/or insight of value.

Skills and Experience

  • 10 years plus related marketing experience, ideally in field/regional marketing
  • Proven experience in leadership or management roles
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Commercially driven and ambitious to prove the ROI of marketing campaigns
  • Experience in partnering with sales teams
  • Able to balance the desires of the stakeholders with the needs of the Argus business and marketing objectives
  • Proven success in driving qualified sales leads and sales
  • Metric driven and have the ability to draw insight from complex marketing data
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferably in marketing)
  • Strong written communication and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to design and implement integrated multi-touch programs that involve the marketing of thought leadership assets along with a problem/solution approach
