Position Overview:


We are seeking a visionary Head of Software Engineering to lead our dynamic software development team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the technical strategy and execution of software projects across our EV platforms, ensuring the seamless integration of hardware and software to deliver an unparalleled driving experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, hardware engineering, and data science, to bring our innovative ideas to life.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Leadership & Management:Lead, mentor, and grow a world-class software engineering team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Vision:Define and execute the software engineering strategy, aligning it with the company’s overall vision and business goals.
  • Software Development:Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software systems for EVs.
  • Quality assurance:Ensure that all software meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and security. Implement best practices in software development and testing.
  • Innovation:Stay abreast of the latest trends in software engineering and EV technology. Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that enhance our competitive edge.
  • Resource Management:Manage the software engineering budget, resources, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear updates on project progress and technical challenges.


Qualifications


  • Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within the automotive, EV, or related high-tech industries.
  • Technical Expertise:Extensive experience with software architecture, embedded systems, real-time systems, and cloud-based solutions. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or similar.
  • Leadership Skills:Proven ability to lead and inspire engineering teams. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Innovation & Vision:A forward-thinking mindset with a passion for innovation in the automotive or EV space. Ability to translate complex technical challenges into actionable strategies.
  • Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge:Deep understanding of the EV industry, including regulatory requirements, industry standards, and emerging trends.
