We are working with an exciting start up organisation, a UK-based AI company developing a cutting-edge platform of AI Agents within the accounting sector based in the London area. They are looking to hire a Head of AI to work in a technical co-founder/ CTO type position. To share the vision of building a vertical AI platform for the accounting space, with an emphasis on agentic AI - where intelligent agents can handle complex workflows independently. The role will be predominantly remote with some occasional travel to London.The role will lead the technology strategy, manage the full lifecycle of agent development and solve the unique operational challenges of deploying AI at scale in enterprise environments. The key duties and responsibilities are:To work in a hands-on technical leadership role requiring you to build a robust enterprise-grade AI system.In the role you will be using language models (LLMs) such as those from Hugging Face and LlamaIndex, leveraging these for agent-based systems and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks, particularly in integrating external knowledge into LLM outputs to enhance accuracy and relevance which can reason, retain memories, and collaborate within a framework tailored for accountants.This person would need to be highly skilled in building multi-agent systems, which can reason, retain memories, and collaborate within a framework tailored for accountants. To be considered as a suitable candidate for the Head of AI role, we are looking for as much as the below to be shown in a CV profile across Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science or a related field.Experience in AI engineering (ideally SaaS or technology-focused business).Familiarity of tax or accounting technology is a plus.Expertise in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks, particularly in integrating external knowledge into LLM outputs to enhance accuracy and relevanceExpertise in natural language processing (NLP), reasoning algorithms, and multi-agent systems.Expertise in Python, the dominant language for AI and machine learning, and its key libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras for building and training models.Strong experience with .NET framework for developing enterprise-grade APIs, ensuring compatibility with existing .NET systems and services.Your CV will be forwarded to Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy established in 1978.
