Job Title: Graduate Data Scientist

Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000


About the Opportunity

Intellect Group is partnering with a fast-growing organisation in the business services and technology space to hire a talented, analytically driven Graduate Data Scientist.


This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field to play a key strategic role in shaping the company’s future direction through the power of data.


Role Overview

The successful candidate will analyse both internal and external datasets to uncover market trends, emerging industry patterns, and new commercial opportunities. Working closely with stakeholders and senior leadership, you will translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence business strategy, product innovation, and potential new verticals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities across relevant markets.
  • Build models, forecasts, and dashboards to support strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
  • Carry out market and competitor analysis to highlight potential growth areas and business opportunities.
  • Engage with stakeholders across multiple departments to understand data requirements and deliver insightful analysis.
  • Present findings to senior executives in a clear, business-focused manner.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to champion data-driven thinking.
  • Maintain high data quality standards and document analytical approaches.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, analytical techniques, and emerging technologies.


Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools and languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong ability to break down complex datasets into understandable, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple analytical tasks simultaneously.


Desirable Skills

  • Prior experience in market analysis, commercial insight, or strategy-focused analytical roles (internships welcome).
  • Knowledge of predictive modelling or machine learning techniques.
  • Familiarity with B2B services, technology, or related industries.
  • Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms or big data technologies.
