We are currently working with a big data technology company that helps businesses unlock data insights in order to grow sales. The company solves some real problems pertaining to big data storage, processing, machine learning and data visualisation. They are looking for a Google Cloud DevOps Engineer who can help them reshape the future of market research and data insights.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Working in partnership with our software engineering teams
• Responsible for building and operating next-generation infrastructure for supporting
• Contributing to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and concerned cloud
technologies
• Testing and deploying software quickly
• Making sure the highest standards of reliability and security
• Automating the build and deployment of infrastructure
• Handling orchestration technologies in a hybrid-cloud environment using Terraform, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes
• Ensuring security, scalability, cost and high-performance
What You'll Bring to the Role:
• Exposure to Linux administration skills
• Very good knowledge of technical architecture that includes micro-
services, serverless functions, NoSQL
• Proven expertise in Configuration Management tools using Puppet and Ansible
• Establishing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Bamboo
• Deep knowledge of GCP and Terraform, networking and TCP/IP
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, Go or Java
• Monitoring, log aggregation and tooling with the help of Cloudwatch,
New Relic, Splunk, ELK
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in Hadoop, HDFS, Spark
