Financial Reporting Accountant

Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are collaborating with our client to recruit an Accountant responsible for supporting the regulatory and technical functions of their Finance Office, with a focus on payroll, procurement, and financial reporting. Your new role Ensure financial compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting. Prepare financial statements and statutory returns. Manage audits and implement recommendations. Oversee payroll and procurement processes. Lead a finance team and drive continual improvement. Develop policies, procedures, and systems for efficient operations. Deputise for senior finance leadership when required. What you'll need to succeed Fully chartered accountant with a recognised body, e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc Applicants must hold GCSE Mathematics and English Language at grades A - C, or equivalent. At least three years' experience in financial roles, including preparing financial statements and liaising with auditors. Ideal candidate will have one year of experience in Public Sector What you'll get in return 26 days annual leave (plus 6 days after 5 years). 19% employer pension contribution.
