The Team

The role of the Marketing Science R&D team is to bring data to life in scientific ways to provide insight, recommendations and innovations relating to client marketing strategies from planning, audience, optimisation and measurement.

The Role Objectives

The Data Analytics Director is an exiting new role within the Nexus Marketing Science Team supporting the creation and delivery of successful marketing campaigns that drive outcomes for our clients.

This role will be key in leading and ensuring best practice use of data modelling and analytical techniques for driving insight from a variety of large and disparate data sets.

This role will provide the data rigour that supports all Marketing Science functions across planning & audience strategy and campaign effectiveness measurement capabilities.

This role will oversee a team of data analysts and data scientists, driving best practices in data modelling and analytics to extract actionable insights from complex, large-scale datasets. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our planning, audience strategy, and campaign effectiveness measurement capabilities.

The candidate

The ideal candidate is someone that is passionate about the applications of data science within the field of marketing to make advertising better for brands and consumers; driving effective outcomes in the most sustainable way possible.

Understand what data is valuable and what is noise, being able to ask and craft the right questions and structure the data in a way that enables insights to be drawn efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

-Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and data scientists

-Develop and implement advanced data modeling and analytical techniques to enable audience insights, segmentation modelling, campaign performance insights, yield management, and more

-Ensure data integrity and rigorous methodologies across all Marketing Science functions

-Drive insights from diverse, large-scale datasets to inform marketing strategies

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business objectives

-Oversee the development of predictive models and segmentation strategies

-Establish best practices for data analysis, visualization, and reporting

-Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance team capabilities

-Measurement methodologies for campaign effectiveness

-Support in establishing frameworks for sophisticated cross channel planning, audience and measurement approaches

-Creating holistic data – combining from a variety of sources

-Developing optimisation algorithms to enhance campaign performance through applications of AI

Requirements:

Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

Expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL

Strong knowledge of marketing analytics and attribution modeling

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Proven track record of translating complex data insights into actionable strategies

Experience with big data technologies and cloud computing platforms
