We're partnering with an AI-focused start-up in the Biotech space focused on using AI to advance medicines. They're looking for a Director of AI to join their existing team of 3 AI experts to work on projects using multimodal data from various sources, working on projects from research to deployment.

THE ROLE

As Director of AI for the business you will:

• Manage a small team of Data Scientists
• Read research papers to come up with new ways of using AI to solve business problems
• Lead projects using multimodal data and cutting-edge AI techniques
• Take projects from ideation through to deployment, getting involved in DevOps and Version Control where needed
• Opportunity to mentor junior team members
• Liaise with senior stakeholders across the business

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Master's or PhD in a relevant subject
• Experience working with cutting-edge AI techniques e.g. LLM's etc
• Strong commercial experience as a Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer / AI Engineer with a preference for Biotechnology industry experience
• Experience working with large, multimodal data sets from various sources
• Good communication skills
• Experience managing a small team
• Tech: Python, SQL, Cloud technology

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Basic salary £110,000-£130,000
