An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the future of digitally enabled healthcare and practice in the role of a Digital Clinical Educator.Are you ready to be involved with a new and exciting transformation at STH? Are you committed to developing others and clinical practice? The Connect EPR programme team are looking for dynamic and forward thinking individuals who are keen to support the implementation of the Connect EPR by being a digital working best practice role model to the NMAHP staff groups.

The postholder will act as a role model for digitally enabled nursing, midwifery, and allied health (NMAHP) practice across the Trust, providing clinical advice, education, and leadership in relation to clinical processes and systems, including the Connect EPR. They will work in conjunction with NMAHP leaders to develop and deliver informed, effective, sustainable education plans to support national and Trust NMAHP and Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) strategy.

Main duties of the job

The purpose of this fixed term role will be to offer support, training, and practical advice on implementing changes and sharing good practice in relation to the Connect EPR and digitally enabled care overall. The post holder will also audit user activity data and identify areas where additional targeted support is required and to respond in a meaningful way, monitoring, and auditing progress.

This role involves a regulated activity and/or controlled activity with vulnerable children and/or adults. Education and Qualifications

Essential criteria

Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Allied Health Professional (NMAHP) with valid NMC or HCPC registration. 1st Level Degree or equivalent Evidence of study (or working towards) at level 7 in healthcare leadership, change management, digital health or other relevant subject or equivalent experience Post graduate qualification in teaching/practice education or working towards one.

Desirable criteria

Evidence of applying current research into practice.

Experience

Essential criteria

Relevant experience working in an educational leadership role with evidence of delivering teaching sessions and presentations to a wide audience. Extensive Post Registration clinical experience. Extensive experience of the Connect EPR programme and its role in NMAHP practice. Ability to assess training needs. Evidence of developing training programmes, delivering training to a wide audience and evaluation of training. Demonstration of strong management / leadership skills and aptitude. Extensive experience of change management. Advanced IT skills, ability to use excel, PowerPoint, software packages. Experience of managing audit.

Desirable criteria

National policy and guidance around NMAHP documentation and digitally-enabled practice. Knowledge & Understanding of NMAHP workflows in the Connect EPR. Knowledge and experience of a champion role.
