What will the Data Scientist be doing?

  • Apply creative data science and ML techniques
  • Innovate and research solutions
  • Stay current with ML and data tech
  • Engage in full data science lifecycle
  • Document technically
  • Deliver high-quality project components
  • Provide practical client solutions
  • Assist in proposal crafting and pitching
  • Deepen understanding of the Defence and Security sector for AI & Data transformation opportunities

Key Skills and Requirements

Essential:

  • Active Enhanced DV Clearance
  • Applying data science or machine learning in Defence/Security, public sector, or academia
  • Proficiency in various machine learning architectures and models
  • Methodical problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication of complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Client relationship management abilities

Desirable:

  • Cloud-based Data Science and Machine Learning services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with Python libraries for data management, statistics, machine learning, and visualisation.
  • Expertise in popular machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Knowledge of cutting-edge techniques for Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision
  • Strong grasp of basic probability concepts and machine learning lifecycle
  • Experience with workflow and pipelining frameworks (e.g., Kubeflow, MLFlow, Argo)
  • Understanding and application of Ethical AI considerations
