Data Scientist – Time-Series Forecasting & Energy Trading
London (Hybrid, 2–3 days/week) | £Competitive + Equity
Join one of the UK’s most promising climate tech startups, a team of top-tier engineers and quants building the future of power trading and grid intelligence.

This is a high-impact, production-focused data science role within a newly formed quant trading team . You’ll be working on some of the most complex forecasting problems in energy, turning noisy, fast-moving time-series data into live trading decisions that move the grid toward net zero.

What You’ll Be Doing
Designing and deploying time-series forecasting models for real-time energy markets
Working directly with engineers and quantitative analysts to shape trading logic
Solving practical algorithmic problems in energy pricing, demand prediction, and asset behaviour
Helping build a data-driven trading desk from the ground up - everything you do will go into production

What They’re Looking For
A strong academic background in a quantitative field (e.g. Maths, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science) — top universities preferred
Solid Python programming skills and experience shipping production code
Practical understanding of time-series forecasting, statistics, and signal processing
Experience working with real-world data — ideally in trading, energy, or systems optimisation
An analytical mindset with a passion for solving applied, algorithmic problems
