Data Scientist

We are seeking a talented individual with strong Python development skills to focus on Fast Track changes, and longer term automation of current and future global facilities with the respect of the Broker Submission Form to join our Data Science team at Marsh. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

A Data Scientist is an established, independent individual contributor, whose work has a direct impact on the team's outcomes. The Data Scientist is motivated to drive the creation of enterprise solutions in the Data and AI discipline. This individual will participate in modelling and development to support corporate initiatives, strategic programs, and new analytics tools and solutions through the use of descriptive, predictive, prescriptive modelling, machine learning, and complex mathematical modelling/tool development.

We will count on you to:

Primary focus on FastTrack:

BAU monitoring and improvements:

Testing and rigor before new releases Streamlining and improving code, including GiTHub Monitoring Virtual Machine and validating automated emails

Expansion plan/needs:

Business Critical changes – live example being Taiwan business UW Framework changes e.g. New LoB; Qualtrics question set changes Qualtrics changes and subsequent changes on python code Local order - Email changes London order – expansion to include London Access placements, ultimately remove need for Excel based template JSON data for Capita to feed into WorkWatch system 2024 Renewal year – necessary amendments, and potential new markets introduced Involved in planning for future changes and impact on logic Assist in the aggregation and streamlining of reporting to underwriters

What you need to have: 

Translates business requirements in to Data Science solutions leveraging strong business acumen Demonstrates expertise in three core pillars of data science tool kit - Data Modelling & Transformation, Data Storytelling and Data VisualizationMachine Learning: builds, calibrates, and tests machine learning modelsTransformation: feature creation, data cleansing, re-expressionVisualization: exploratory data analysis, intuitive presentation of findings. App development Lead the projects/ideas associated with machine learning and AI Responsible for communicating complex data in a simple and actionable way Proactive learning style and thirst for understanding of the latest developments in machine learning and AI. Problems solving within the constraints of a corporate IT environment

Masters Degree in Data Science or equivalent essential
