Minutesto Seconds is looking for a Data Scientist in a Contract role inMelbourne.



Requirements

Weare seeking a Data Scientist / Specialist. Their role will beto:

  • Stocktake existingintegrity data and metrics at the entity and whole of APSlevels
  • Identify gaps and exploreimprovements to existing data collectionmethods
  • Automate repetitive tasksand streamline data workflows
  • Managedata in a manner consistent with best practices and securityrequirements
  • Serve as a subjectmatter expert offering guidance and support to colleagues oninterpreting data analysis data governance and informationsecurity
  • Identify and exploreadvanced analytics techniques to determine what additional insightscould be developed using machine learning and AI techniques fortasks such as anomalydetection
  • Identify further APS workneeded to provide a basis for ongoing integrity measurementcapability
  • Ensure knowledge transferand other activities to develop ongoing integrity data capabilitywithin theAPS.


Wewant to hear from you if youhave:

  • Demonstrated abilityto
    • leverage data and build customisable engagingand informative datavisualisations
    • make datadiscoverable using a centralised searchable registry
    • capture standard definitions andclassifications
    • ensure data isproperly managed and securely publishedand
    • succinctly articulate technicalconcepts to nontechnicalaudiences.
  • Experiencewith data analysis in a policysetting
  • A proven track record ofproviding strategic data policy advice to senior executives andministers on complex data matters
  • Effective excellent communication skills and the demonstratedability to collaborate withothers


Proficientdata analysis and management skills are required. Experience withMicrosoft Office suite Power BI SQL and programming languages (e.g.R Python SAS) will be highly regarded along with previous work inthe APS. Policy environment experience would also be an advantage.
