My client, a leading insurer, is seeking a Data Scientist to play a pivotal role in the Data science and team and enhance it's data science capabilities. This organisation values long-term partnerships, innovative solutions, and a collaborative culture.


This hybrid/London-based role offers up to circa £70,000, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonuses.


The job:


  • Supporting data science projects to drive data cleansing, data mining, and automation.
  • Collaborate with the pricing team to provide insights for company's profitability.
  • Utilize AI techniques to automate manual business tasks.
  • Extract and analyse data from external sources for proactive.
  • Support and upskill junior data scientists and analysts.


The candidate:


  • Experience working as a Data Scientist for a minimum of 2 years experience in the Insurance domain
  • Proficiency in programming (Python, PyArrow, PySpark).
  • Strong Statistical modelling experience
  • Experience with machine learning libraries (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-Learn).
  • Familiarity with Data engineering and cloud computing (MS Azure Cloud, Azure ML Studio, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong skills in database management and SQL.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively.
