Data Scientist - Synthetic Data | up to £75,000 | Leading Market Research Brand | UK Remote

A leading global market research brand is looking for an innovative Data Scientist to join a newly created R&D function diving into all things synthetic data. The new function dots directly into a senior leadership panel with a huge buy-in across the board.

The Team You'll Be Joining:

You will be joining the Head of Innovation & Lead Data Scientists as one of the earlier hires in the team. Joining you will be 2 dedicated Data Engineers, however, there are expectations for this function to scale, so you're joining nice and early in the journey.

What you'll be doing in this role:

• Designing, implementing, and evaluating synthetic data generation algorithms and models, either proprietary, prebuilt or third-party, including Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and other generative AI techniques.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify use cases for synthetic data in areas such as market research, customer insights, and predictive analytics.
• Staying at the forefront of the latest advancements and research in generative AI & synthetic data techniques.
• Conducting research and experiments to push the boundaries of the synthetic data capabilities.

What you will bring:

• A PhD or a Master’s in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Proficiency in Python and experience with data science libraries like pandas, sci-kit-learn, and TensorFlow or PyTorch
• A deep understanding of generative models, such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Variational Autoencoders (VAEs) and other techniques used for synthetic data generation such as SMOTE
