About the Role

A leading firm in the global FX and cryptocurrency marketplace is seeking aData Scientistto join its Electronic Trading Solutions team. This role is ideal for a data scientist who combines technical expertise with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for cutting-edge trading solutions. You will be instrumental in shaping data-driven strategies and working closely with our research and trading teams to turn complex data into actionable insights.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct data analysis across trading, liquidity, and risk areas, helping inform strategic decisions and optimize trading performance.
  • Build and refine analytical tools to enhance automated monitoring of trading activities and identify key trends.
  • Provide in-depth statistical analysis to uncover patterns and behaviors that can forecast performance.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including sales and liquidity, to support client needs and drive improvements in trading systems.


Key Requirements

  • Education: Degree from a top university (Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field is beneficial but not required).
  • Experience: At least 2 years in a data science or quantitative role; finance experience is a plus but not required.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Python with a solid grasp of libraries such asNumPyandpandas(essential).
  • Skilled in statistical modeling, data analysis, and visualization.
  • Experience working with large, complex data sets to derive actionable insights.
  • Other Requirements: Willingness to work onsite in London 4-5 days a week during the initial 1-2 months, transitioning to a hybrid model (3 days in-office) thereafter.
