Assistant Vice President, Data Scientist (DataStage & Regulatory Compliance)

Location:City of London

Contract Type:Fixed-term, likely to extend beyond a year

Salary:£500-600 per day (umbrella)


Are you a seasoned Data Scientist with a flair for ETL, data warehousing, and regulatory compliance? Our prestigious bank, renowned for its excellent people culture, is seeking a talented individual to join our specialised IT Compliance Team as an Assistant Vice President – Technical Analyst (Compliance).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise:Utilise your advanced skills in IBM DataStage to manage and optimise ETL workflows, ensuring efficient data processing and storage.
  • Regulatory Compliance:Apply your knowledge in transaction monitoring and compliance within regulated industries to uphold our high standards of regulatory adherence.
  • Leadership:Drive and manage long-term projects across Change Management and IT, showcasing your strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Problem-Solving:Address and resolve gaps in data architecture, implementing strategic solutions for sustained success.
  • Integration:Collaborate with our IT team to integrate compliance processes and regulatory frameworks seamlessly into our infrastructure.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience:Proven senior-level experience as a data scientist with a robust background in ETL, data warehousing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Industry Knowledge:Experience within large-scale operations or blue-chip companies, particularly in financial services or regulatory compliance.
  • Leadership Skills:Demonstrated capability in driving complex projects and leading teams effectively.
  • Compliance Familiarity:Adept at integrating compliance requirements into IT processes and mitigating associated risks.
