The Role:  

We are seeking a manager for our newly formed Data Platform team. You will manage our team of Data platform Engineers and will operate and maintain the existing infrastructure. This role will be reporting to the Head of Data & Machine Learning. In this role you will be responsible for owning the Data Platform from end-to-end. The person taking on the role will be expected to have a clear vision for how the platform should operate and drive projects which enhance our existing platform and will implement new pieces as required.  

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in modern data stack technologies, both as an owner and operator 
  • At least 2 years of people management experience (this role will have 3-4 direct reports) 
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills (must be able to explain complex technical ideas and projects to non-technical stakeholders) 
  • Project management 

 

Desirable Skills: 

  • Experience working with YouLend’s Data stack: Terraform, AWS, Rackspace, Helmchart, Jenkins, Snowflake, Metabase, Tableau 
  • Experience in financial services / lending

Salary: £115,000 - 135,000 + 20% Annual Bonus
